Turn confusion into a useful question

A clear question names what you read, what you understood, and where your uncertainty begins. This gives a teacher something concrete to respond to.

Understand the idea

Compare “I do not understand Arabic” with “In this phrase, which word is being described?” The second question can be answered and checked. If several uncertainties are mixed together, write them separately and start with the one that blocks the next step.

I read… / I understood… / I am unsure about…

Put it into practice

Use the three prompts to prepare one question from today’s study.
