Recognize the doubled consonant
Shaddah marks a doubled consonant. Keep it distinct from the letter’s dots and from a vowel that may appear beside it.
Understand the idea
In رَبّ, the final baa carries shaddah. Compare a teacher’s reading with a spelling in which the shaddah is absent, without treating the two as interchangeable. Learning to notice the mark is the first goal; accurate timing needs listening and feedback.
