An adjective follows the noun it describes in the construction studied here. Its grammatical form is connected to that noun.
Understand the idea
In بَيْتٌ كَبِيرٌ, the first word names a house and the second describes it as large. Compare the order with your own language. These are original classroom examples, not Quran quotations; wider agreement rules and exceptions belong in subsequent study.
