Separate translation from explanation
A translation presents a translator’s interpretation of meaning. Tafsir is explanatory scholarship. Personal reflection is your own response and should be labelled separately.
Understand the idea
Open 1:6 and write three headings: source text, translation, reflection. Copy a short attributed excerpt only under translation. Put your own intention under reflection. If you add an explanation from a commentary, identify its author and source instead of blending it into the translation.
Three labels: text · translation · personal reflection
Put it into practice
Organize one study note under the three headings and check that its source is traceable.
Check your understanding
A practice record, not a qualification or a pronunciation assessment. Saved in this browser.
