Starting your first study routine

A beginning does not need to cover everything. Choose a subject you can name, a source you can return to and a regular time that fits your circumstances. Ask for help early when the material assumes knowledge you do not yet have.

1. Choose a short surah or introductory learning path.
2. Write down the terms you do not understand.
3. Review your questions with a teacher before increasing the workload.

Bring your learning to the classroom

Use the activity to prepare one specific question. Keep the source reference attached to any quotation, distinguish your observations from the author’s claims, and agree on a next step with your teacher.
