A purposeful lesson
A lesson needs a goal that can be observed. “Study Arabic” is broad; “read these three sentences and explain the unfamiliar words” gives teacher and student a shared task and a way to review it.

Useful feedback names a specific observation and a manageable next action. Keep records descriptive and respectful. A student’s confidence, age and previous learning experience should inform how the feedback is delivered.

Agree on the lesson time, language and meeting arrangements in advance. Test the audio early and keep a short written task available if video becomes unreliable. Private invitations help participants find the right lesson.
